I am a Canadian. So observer status at best. I did not watch the 2nd Clinton - Trump debate. I am more interested in the storylines as presented through media post-game analysis. The media is busy talking shit about Gong Show level behavior. Why? A legitimate line of questions follows that one. Why is this male v female? Why is the articulate, thorough, intelligent and passionate experience of Clinton not the focus? Why did the debate ( okay I watched some replays) turn into a WWE style mike performance?
Watch Trump with Hilary and watch him on WWE Raw from several years ago. Is that not the same character?
This leads to other questions. Who, indeed, where, are Trump's core constituency? What is his end game? He is a media creation as surely as if he were a holograph. He knows how to work the yokels through his 'pixelized' presence better than other televangelists. His message is money is holy. Greed is Good. Corruption is not all bad. His faith is welfare capitalism founded on scams and rackets.
He has always been a money mover. For example, the more betting activity in a poker game, the more the rake or the tax is. Organized money relies on regular monetary activity to maintain its illusion of real wealth as represented by electronic fund transfers and paper / coin currency. Tax write-downs like Trump's, help organized money support and create fiscal policies.
I could never watch Trump for more than a minute. Just a loud mouth goof.
